The first place men’s basketball team takes on the Cleveland State Vikings Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Nutter Center in a Horizon League matchup.

Wright State enters this matchup winners of six of their last seven games and a record of 11-4, 2-0. The Vikings have a record of 9-7, 1-1 and are playing their fourth game of the calendar year already.

Cleveland State leads the overall series 30-27 over the years and has won the last six meetings against WSU including a 77-55 victory last February in Cleveland.

The Raiders are a perfect 7-0 at the Nutter Center this season while the Vikings have yet to find their first road victory of the year with an away record of 0-6.

WSU narrowly won their last conference game last Saturday night against Milwaukee 53-51 and head coach Billy Donlon believes this game will be another tight struggle.

“It’ll be another war,” Donlon said. “Our league has got a lot of parity in it. You’ve got to do everything you can to defend your home court.”

Wednesday’s game will be the first game since classes have resumed and students can pick up two free tickets with a valid Wright1 Card at Gate 9 of the Nutter Center starting at 6:00 p.m. The game can also be viewed live online for free at www.horizonleaguenetwork.com.
