In a recent Wright State Poll, many students agreed that this Spring Break they would be staying at home. However, there were students who planned on traveling for spring break.
Mexico
Mexico has cheap and exclusive accommodations, non-stop energy clubbing, huge parties, plenty of shops and beaches that appeal to the spring break crowd.
Jamaica
The average temperature in February is 77 degrees. Tourists enjoy the nightlife, windsurfing, sailing cruises, kayaks, safaris and theme parks.
Bahamas
This island has many water activities and pristine beaches. Because spring break is months before hurricane/rainy season, the weather stays at 70 degrees.
Florida
Unlike the other islands mentioned, going to spring break in Florida could mean sharing sand and surf with families and teenagers. Be prepared to stand in long lines for amusement parks.
Las Vegas, NV
The famous hotel the Palms is the hotel for the MTV generation and a playground for celebrities, athletes and Hollywood stars. Vegas wouldn’t be a destination spot without visiting the casino and some of the most famous clubs.
Students who stay home also have opportunities for fun. Wherever students choose to go the important thing is to relax. When students return to campus, spring semester will be half way over.

I have looked at up the Spring Break dates online for 125 other colleges both major and minor and with the exception of some college in Providence RI, every one of their Spring Breaks starts when ours ends! What’s with this? Spring Break is like a “right of passage” thing and ours is over just when everyone else is starting into it depriving us of the chance of being on MTV’s Spring Break show, and being with thousands and thousands of other students at the most popular locations for said break. I think the dates need to be rethought for next year so it’s at least March before we start. Was this supposed to be another of the “Benefits” of going to semesters from the quarters system? You remember the quarters system, the one the vast majority of responders prefered according to one of the online poles on WINGS? However I suppose we all have to bow to the Government and the Board as we are just replaceable cogs in their machine.
