May Daze '08 sets new bar for all future celebrations

With what many students and staff feel to be the most successful May Daze event behind us, many look forward to what the event will bring in years to come. "I'll be graduating so this will probably be the last one I attend, but for freshman and what not, they will have a good time the next few years if they keep it similar to this," said senior English major Casey Colon.

Grad students give back to the community

Six graduate-level students are landscaping the entire area of the East Park Church of God on South Smithville Road in Dayton for their management 773 course. Working to complete the project by their upcoming June 2 deadline are Daniel Dafler, Julie Myers, Atul Phadke, Matt Forsythe, Chris Hill, and Kishi Cooke.

Amateur astronomers spend time looking at the sun

Clear skies are drawing the Astronomy Club to the quad every Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. for a viewing of sun spots. Every eleven years the sun goes through a new cycle of sun spots, which are storms of magnetic activity cooler than the rest of the star. January began the new cycle of sun spots allowing the Astronomy Club to get a glimpse through their telescope in visible light.

Hold 'em rescheduled

On May 16-18, 2008, Wright State University will host THT 4 & More: Games for a Raider Cause. Among the many games and attractions provided at this year's event, the Cincinnati Reds will be hosting the fourth annual Texas Hold'em Tournament. "It is the fourth year of the annual Texas Hold'em Tournament and we promise that the game play and the prizes will be better than ever before," Stated Michael Allbright who helped organize the event.

Drag Show rescheduled

Get out your heels and lip gloss, there is a Drag Show coming to town! The 5th Annual Drag Revue put on by the Rainbow Alliance has been rescheduled for May 19. It is going to be performed at Club Aquarius in downtown Dayton. The tickets are on sale now at the Student Union Box Office.
