New students on campus are often fresh from high school and this experienc puts them on their own for the first time. These new students want to go out and make friends and enjoy their first realworld experience. What better way to do it than to go out and have a few drinks with fellow classmates.
The following is an online response to the Feb. 20 staff opinion "Staffer mad about athlete privileges," in which Aaron Larson wrote, "So what really gives athletes the right to register before me? Because as far as I can see, this is nothing more than Wright State giving me the finger for not caring about sports.
Students leaving home for the first time to come to WSU may find themselves in a totally different world: suddenly, no curfews, no one looking over their shoulders to make sure their rooms are clean and their homework is done, and, most noticeably, no one monitoring their alcohol consumption.
