Two WSU students, Thomas Hentrich and Nathan Conner, were found dead in campus housing within three days of each other last week. Hentrich was found Wednesday, March 19, on his bathroom floor of his Village apartment by his Community Advisor, according to the police report.
Mohammad Kassem, director of International Affairs for Student Government, is currently working with the Bursar and the WSU Bookstore exploring new options to make it easier for students to buy textbooks. Kassem contacted 12 Ohio colleges and universities and investigated the differences between each of them in terms of how students can use their ID cards financially.
"There's a lot of people who complain about there being nothing to do on campus," said University Activities Board President Mike George. "Our job is to dispel that complaint and show people that there really are things go on. I encourage people that feel there's nothing to do on campus to come check us out.

Violence on college campuses whether it is in the form of attacks, mass threats, or vandalized property has become more of a reality in recent years.
The issue of universal health coverage has been an extremely polarized topic for the candidates in the 2008 presidential election. One group that is urging politicians to take action is the National Nurses Organizing Committee. The NNOC is a labor union of registered nurses with advocate continuous patient care and healthcare reform.
In 2004, liquor law arrests at WSU were over three times as common as in 2006 and police attribute this decrease to additional education programming regarding alcohol and other drugs, according to WSU's Annual Security Report. There were 139 liquor law arrests in 2004, but the number decreased to 36 in 2006.
