"Usually everything we do it lasts all day, but I always tell them to have a press powder, if they get a little shine and reapply lipstick," said Carley Jamison, an esthetician at EPIC Salon & Day Spa.
"I usually do it two or three times on their lips to kind of stain it, make it last longer," Jamison added.
"Most brides want to play it safe and they want to look like themselves. They are usually more afraid of doing something too dramatic that their groom-to-be might not recognize them and won't think that's (the bride-to-be)," said Jamison.
"Soft and romantic" are the most common looks brides-to-be go for said Jamison. She added that brides could do a dramatic look, but keep in mind to soften the look.
Jamison suggest for a the dramatic look to have "darker eyes and lighter lips or sometimes do a soft white (around the eyes) and bright bold lips (like red lipstick)."
