There's no such thing as too much planning

For some reason there seems to be a pattern in wedding planning for young brides like myself. I'm sure we've all heard of the new "Bridezilla" TV series featuring insane controlling brides with steam jutting out of their nostrils and in place of a tiara, horns protruding from their heads.
However, in most cases these brides probably didn't start out that way. In my experience, the beginnings of your planning are very "breezy." You start to look at halls and churches with a vague idea of what you want.
Then, some friend or family member suggests a theme or colors and all of a sudden you start to get a "vision." You picture the perfect wedding but of course you know that it will not be perfect.
Never the less you visit these halls with this picture in mind and it starts to become difficult to settle for just anything. I believe this is potentially the first stage toward "Bridezilla." If at this point you don't come to this realization there is probably some potential for trouble.
Luckily, I am still in this stage and there is still time! I've caught myself a few times thinking slightly unrealistically and I hope to remember that this day is not about the perfect flowers, or the perfect setting. If you've found the right person and you want your day to be special- it will be!
It's just that simple! Keep your cool and pat your head every now and then just to check for horns.
