Both the men's and women's tennis teams were able to mass a string of wins this week proving they may in fact be a force to reckon with in the Horizon League as the season winds down.

The Wright State men's tennis team had a tough time pulling off two consecutive wins over the last week.

The Raiders were able to defeat UW- Green Bay 4-3 on Friday. Nick Camilleri, Craig Smith and Brian Butt managed wins in singles play, but victory was not possible for Wright State until Camilleri and Lance Koetter won the first doubles match. Then, Butt and Smith went on to win the third match to give the Raiders the narrow 4-3 win for the evening.

The men's team also went on to beat UIC Saturday, 4-3. Wright State earned all four points in singles play as Koetter, Camilleri, Smith and Butt won in their respective matches. Camilleri and Koetter combined also for a win in doubles play.

The Raiders, who are now 8-10 overall and 3-1 in Horizon League play, will travel to IPFW on Wednesday to face the Mastodons.
Wright State women's tennis is on a roll also, as they racked up three straight wins this week.

The Lady Raiders were able to pull off a win against the Dayton Flyers Wednesday with a 4-3 victory. After sweeping the doubles, the Raiders divided the singles matches 3-3 to earn the win.

Jessica Lee, Audra Beckett and Laura Culbertson won the singles matches, while Tiffani Foster and Beckett teamed up for the first doubles win. Lee and Culbertson paired up for the second and Christa Ames and Megan Laux were the final Wright State duo to win in doubles matches for the day.

The Raiders blanked the visiting UW- Milwaukee Friday, winning 7-0. Foster, Lee, Beckett, Culbertson, Ames, and Karina Presti earned singles competition wins for Wright State while the same pairs from Tuesday's doubles swept their matches.

Wright State then continued their winning ways on Saturday, earning its third consecutive victory with a 6-1 win over Detroit.

The Raiders, now 7-10 overall, are 3-2 in the Horizon League. Both the men and women have matches at home on Saturday beginning at 2:00pm.
